In front of the chapel is a memorial column to Evan Roberts the revivalist. It was erected in 1953 in readiness for the fiftieth anniversary of the Revival in 1954. The words on the front of the memorial are in Welsh; a translation of which can be seen below the photograph. The year of Evan’s birth on the memorial is inaccurate. It should read 1878, a mistake which has been corrected in the translation.
